| Two of the Master Sand Sculptors who will be competing in the Tournament of Champions have teamed up to present two days of hands-on instruction for would-be sand sculptors.
Helena Bangert from Amsterdam and Suzanne Altamare from Florida will take you through the basics such as small compactions, hand stacking and soft sand methods. You will also receive a basic tool kit and will learn how to use them. In the advanced class, you will learn stacking compaction, hand-stacked arches and advanced soft sand methods. You will also learn more about the use of tools and a few “tricks” that professional sand sculptors use in competition. Classes are limited to ten people in each session to ensure more time for individual instruction. The Basic Course starts at 10 am on Saturday and Sunday.
